Perfecting My German  - Performative video,  2020
 

Created during the Covid-19 lockdown in Berlin, Germany, this performative video explores the challenges of language, bureaucracy, and isolation. After completing B1 German, Allon’s language remained imperfect. The first video shows him practicing in his bedroom, in nightwear, embodying frustration and despair. The second, more humorous, depicts a phone call with friend Franziska Harnisch, revealing the daily struggles and comic absurdities of immigrant life.
